Google Nest Audio-Smart Speaker

Google Nest Audio: A Powerful Smart Speaker for Your Home

Superior Sound Quality

With a 75 mm woofer and a 19 mm tweeter, the Google Nest Audio boasts an impressive sound experience, offering crisp vocals and thumping bass. This speaker is also 75% louder than the original Google Home, making it perfect for music lovers and audiophiles alike.

Smart Features & Connectivity

Nest Audio with Google Assistant lets you control compatible smart devices, play music, ask for information, and plenty more, all with voice commands. But the speaker also comes with dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth® 5.0, allowing you to stream wirelessly from a range of devices.

Sleek and Minimalist Design

The Nest Audio features a modern, minimal design with touch controls. With five color options—Charcoal, Chalk, Sage, Sand, and Sky—it fits into multiple home décors.

When compared to Google Nest Mini (2019) and Google Home Mini, Nest Audio is more about audio quality than smart home features. It fills the gap between the Nest Mini and the Home system with a combination of reasonably priced and quality audio.

Pricing & Availability

The Google Nest Audio is priced at $99.99 and can be purchased from the Google Store, Best Buy, and Walmart.

Setting Up and Using Google Nest Audio

Easy Setup Process

To get the Nest Audio all set and ready, go to your smartphone or tablet and download the Google Home app. Open the app, select “Set up device”, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your speaker to Wi-Fi and make thousands of configurations as you wish. The entire process takes less than five minutes.

Voice Commands and Controls

To interact with the speaker, always start with “Hey Google” before your command. Avoid saying “Hi Google” or just “Google, [command]”, as the device only responds to “Hey Google.” Example commands include:

  • “Hey Google, play my favorite playlist.”
  • “Hey Google, what’s the weather like today?”
  • “Hey Google, turn off the living room lights.”

Touch Controls

The top surface has three touch-sensitive areas:

  • Left corner: Decrease volume
  • Right corner: Increase volume
  • Middle section: Play/Pause music
  • The four LED lights on the front indicate when the device is actively listening.
  • For privacy, the Guest Mode feature allows visitors to use the speaker without accessing your personal information. You can also mute the microphone if you don’t want the device to listen continuously.

With its impressive sound, smart assistant features, and easy setup, the Google Nest Audio is an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their home with a powerful, voice-controlled speaker.
